ISSUES

These are issues raised in email or meetings to which there was no quick response. Anyone who cares to respond to these may join the BOSS™ reflector, and post a position or view or attend a meeting and express such view or position.

Overlaps and/or conflicts with U.S. Government and other standards should be harmonized.

A range of situations, environments should be accommodated.

The standard must not be too restrictive, but must be cost effective.

The standard must not inadvertently weaken security.

The scope should include real-time (RT) embedded systems, other operating system types in addition to general-purpose (GP), commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) operating systems.

The standard might serve better as an umbrella for other standards for a range of OS types and environments.
